Creative Packaging is also a recycling center. Through our ReCover I Recycle I ReUse program, we service a variety of sustainable industries throughout the USA. Recycled EPS is found in products like potting soil and park benches, or converted into products like CD covers, protective eyewear, and gloves.
Creative Packaging can assist customers in establishing an environmentally sound recycling program that meets their needs. More than 71 million pounds of EPS was recycled in 2011. The EPS industry has achieved an average post-consumer recycling rate of 19 and a post-industrial recycling rate of 25 for the past 15 years. If you have discarded EPS and would like to recycle it, please let us know.
EPS has a high calorific value, higher than coal, and can be safely burned without emitting toxic or environmentally damaging fumes. EPS represents less than 3% of the total landfill volume. EPS is non-toxic, inert and odor free and provides stability and aeration in soil to allow regrowth of plants and organisms.
